Deprecation Notice for Dual Contracts

We are deprecating the Dual Contracts feature. Starting March 17th, this feature will no longer be supported. Dual Contract was introduced to provide flexibility in contract terms when only legacy CSP subscriptions were available. CSP subscriptions always had an annual commitment and could be canceled without a penalty. However, with the introduction of NCE, customers now have multiple term options, including monthly, yearly, and tri-annual commitments. NCE also includes a 7-day grace period. If this period is exceeded, the partner becomes fully responsible for the subscription cost.

When Dual Contracts is enabled with an NCE contract as the underlying subscription, various discrepancies can arise. Given the significant financial impact of unintended NCE renewals, dual contracts increase the risk of inconsistencies and may bypass key contract restrictions designed to minimize such discrepancies.
